CAMPO 7
Campo 7 is an endeavour launched by Hines in collaboration with FIDAL Lombardia, the athletics school Raptors Milano, and with the endorsement of the Municipality of Milan and Municipio 7.
This project involved the transformation of a public area into a temporary outdoor athletic field.
Campo 7 kicked off a series of activities within local schools, where FIDAL professionals introduced youngsters to the sport, fostering civic awareness and providing an important platform for social integration and empowerment.
The project’s grand opening in October 2022 featured a special guest, Filippo Tortu, the Olympic champion at the Tokyo 2020 Games.
Campo 7 integrates seamlessly into the urban landscape of Ex Trotto Milano, aiming to connect young individuals with the sports world, a crucial ally in nurturing civic consciousness, promoting integration, and offering chances for redemption.
A LESSON IN SPORT
For its inauguration, Campo 7 transformed into a temporary theatre for an unprecedented speed competition that allowed over 200 students from the primary schools Radice, Monte Baldo, Don Gnocchi, and Dolci to run alongside the Olympic champion Filippo Tortu.
Beyond just speed races, Campo 7 initiated a program of lessons dedicated to sports and physical well-being in local schools during the academic year 2022-2023, thanks in part to the contribution of the Raptors Milano athletics school.
